With its 360 degrees rotation in both its base and arm, it is easy to adjust the position of the light depending on the user’s needs, whether it is illuminating the user’s face for video calls, a piece of paper or the environment around the user. Luxo’s iconic expression with its industrial aesthetics has been a key element of this project, as well as the functionality and versatility of the product.

The finished model is made out of high density plastic foam infused with aluminium powder to mimic the product’s intended material, which is smooth anodized aluminium. It was fabricated by hand using a manual milling machine.
